Richelieu Hardware is currently seeking a Panel Sales Supervisor for the Southern Alberta territory.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Southern Alberta Sales Manager, the Panel Sales Supervisor is responsible for the profitable growth of the Panel Products category throughout Southern Alberta. The incumbent provides direct leadership to the Panel Sales Representatives, drives sales performance, develops talent, supports strategic product initiatives, and ensures the successful execution of Richelieu's panel growth strategy throughout the territory.
This is a field-based position requiring extensive travel throughout Southern Alberta, with occasional out-of-province travel for training, meetings, and industry events.
Key Responsibilities

Accountable for achieving and exceeding annual Panel Products sales budgets, gross margin objectives, and growth targets throughout Southern Alberta.

Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise related to panel products, applications, and industry trends.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Panel Sales Representatives to achieve Richelieu's standards of sales excellence, technical expertise, customer engagement, and business development.

Conduct ongoing performance reviews and development planning to ensure team members achieve and maintain Richelieu's expected level of technical knowledge, sales effectiveness, and professional excellence.

Monitor competitive activities, market conditions, and pricing strategies to maintain a strong market position.

Support sales representatives in identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase market share.

Conduct joint customer and prospect visits with sales representatives throughout the territory to support business development, coaching, and strategic account growth.

Collaborate closely with internal departments, including Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Distribution, Forecasting, and Procurement.

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while expanding market share within existing accounts.

Participate in trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote Richelieu and strengthen market presence.

Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and business opportunities to support the Western Canada Panel Products Specialist in developing competitive and relevant product offerings.

Support the introduction of new products and vendor partnerships within the panel category.

Develop and execute annual territory growth plans aligned with company objectives and market opportunities.

Maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders while acting as the primary escalation point for panel-related opportunities and challenges.
Requirements

Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role.

Experience in wood products, panel products, building materials, or distribution industry is a strong asset.

Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitable growth.

Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand product specifications and applications.

Previous experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or developing a sales team is considered a strong asset.

Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout Southern Alberta, with occasional out-of-province travel.
