Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for applying paint and finishes to various surfaces, primarily within automotive or dealership environments. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical knowledge, and experience working with hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply primer, paint, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Ensure even coverage and proper drying times for all coatings applied
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist with surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Perform minor repairs on surfaces prior to painting, including filling holes or cracks
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and cleaning tools after use
- Follow safety protocols related to chemical handling, ventilation, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems or surface preparation techniques preferred
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as sanders, scrapers, brushes, and masking tape
- Familiarity with power tools used in painting or surface prep is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or equipment
- Prior mechanic experience or background in automotive finishing is advantageous but not required

Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
