Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment to support smooth food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food safety, and supporting culinary staff with preparation and kitchen duties. Previous restaurant experience or familiarity with the food industry is a plus but not required. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable kitchen experience and develop skills in food safety, food preparation, and food service.
Duties
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff
- Support the food service team by restocking supplies and maintaining a clean work environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures at all times
- Help with general kitchen cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal
- Assist in setting up dining areas and clearing tables as needed during service hours
- Follow all safety guidelines related to food handling and kitchen operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Basic cooking skills or interest in learning culinary techniques are advantageous
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends and evenings
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items (up to 50 pounds)

Pay: $15.80-$17.50 per hour
