Job Title: Server (Food & Beverage Industry)
Introduction: Join our vibrant and dynamic team at our upscale Pur & Simple -Harbour Street restaurant in Toronto! We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food and beverage industry, we want to hear from you! Day shifts only from 7-3 pm.
Responsibilities:

Greet and seat customers with a warm and professional demeanor, taking their orders and serving food and beverages accurately and efficiently.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing any special requests or dietary concerns with utmost care and attention.

Process payments and provide accurate receipts for all transactions.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and replenishing supplies as needed.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues with food quality or service.

Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions accurately and professionally.

Work full-time hours, typically 30-40 hours per week, with shifts that may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Smart Serve certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Previous experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a busy, high-traffic restaurant.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience in fine dining or high-end casual dining restaurants is a plus.

Knowledge of wine and other beverages is desirable.

Multilingual abilities, particularly in languages commonly spoken by the restaurant’s clientele, are an added advantage.
