Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment. The X-Ray Technologist will ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to obtain clear images.
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Review images for quality and ensure they meet diagnostic standards before submitting for physician review.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and maintain necessary certifications.
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as an X-Ray Technologist or Radiologic Technologist (RT).
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
