Overview
Kinetica Print, a division of Growth Media North America, Inc, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Print Production Specialist to join our print bindery team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of production lines, maintaining quality standards, and supporting overall manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in manufacturing environments, and the ability to operate various equipment safely and effectively. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic industrial setting.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor print manufacturing equipment - creaser, bookletmaker, cutter, etc.
- Assist with the setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of production equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products to meet company standards
- Support packaging processes by preparing products for shipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of machinery and materials
- Document production activities accurately and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors
Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing. Commercial print experience is a major asset
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Experience operating large format equipment or roll label print devices is an asset
- Familiarity with machining techniques and tools used in production environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
