Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead culinary operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking processes
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed in compliance with health regulations
- Develop and refine menu offerings, ensuring consistency and quality of dishes served
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
- Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
- Lead by example in serving guests with professionalism and hospitality
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or as a head chef with supervising experience
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff
- Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service
- Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
