Term: September – December (first semester with option to renew if both parties are happy)
Compensation: $20/hour, up to 15 hours per week
Eligibility: Must be in your 3rd or 4th year at one of the following universities in Nova Scotia: Dalhousie University, Saint Mary's University, St. Francis Xavier University, OR Acadia University
About the Role
Calling all university students!
NS Spirit Co. is seeking energetic, connected, and entrepreneurial Campus Brand Representatives to represent the Blue Lobster and Annapolis Cider Company brands at your campus.
As a Campus Rep, you'll act as the face of our brands on campus, building awareness through events, social media, and on-premise activations at local bars and pubs. This role is ideal for students who are highly involved in campus life, have strong social networks, and enjoy event planning and marketing.
Beyond campus activations, you will be expected to represent Blue Lobster and Annapolis Cider at in-store tastings, sampling events, and community activations, helping bring our brands to life while creating memorable consumer experiences and building brand awareness.
You'll receive product, swag, event budgets, and marketing support while gaining hands-on experience in brand marketing and event management.
Key Responsibilities
Event Marketing & Activations
Organize and execute:
- 1 large brand event per month
- 1 smaller campus activation per week
- Develop creative event concepts aligned with key campus tentpole moments such as:
- Orientation Week
- Homecoming
- Major sporting events
- Theme nights
- Student society and club events
- Coordinate with student groups, campus organizations, and local venues to maximize attendance and visibility.
- Manage event logistics, setup, and brand presence on site.
- Sample and do tastings at NSLCs and other retailer partners
On-Premise & Community Partnerships
- Build relationships with local bars, pubs, and student-focused venues to make sure Blue Lobster and Annapolis Cider are at the forefront.
- Coordinate promotions and activations with venue staff.
- Work closely with the NS Spirit Co. team to identify opportunities and execute marketing initiatives.
- Support giveaways, contests, and experiential promotions that coincide with events and parties.
Social Media & Content Creation
- Create authentic content showcasing campus activations and brand experiences in an organic yet lively way.
- Generate event-related content and promotional posts leading up to and after all events.
- Support teaser campaigns leading into major activations.
- Maintain a consistent social presence and drive engagement among students.
Brand Ambassador Leadership
- Serve as the primary brand contact on your campus.
- Order product and promotional materials through company systems.
- Distribute swag and promotional items strategically.
- Provide feedback on campus trends, opportunities, and insights.
Performance Expectations
Successful Campus Reps will:
- Execute 1 major event per month
- Execute 1 small activation per week
- Maintain regular social media activity tied directly to events and activations
- Submit weekly timesheets and activity recaps that outline and detail your activity and workload
- Stay active on internal channels
- Represent the brands professionally and responsibly at all times
- Be a champion of Blue Lobster and Annapolis Cider!
Program Support & Resources
Along with hourly wage, Campus Reps receive:
- Up to $200 per month in approved bar tab expenses for approved NSSC products (receipts required)
- Up to $200 per month in swag and promotional merchandise
- Significant in-kind product support for events throughout the school year
Ideal Candidate
You are:
- A current 3rd or 4th year student
- A student at one of the following Nova Scotia universities that live on or near campus: Dalhousie University, St. Francis Xavier University, Acadia University, Saint Mary's University
- Well-connected within campus communities and student governments
- Active in student organizations, athletics, clubs, or campus life
- Comfortable planning events and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Outgoing, organized, and self-motivated
- Passionate about marketing, sales, events, or brand building
- Available up to 15 hours per week throughout the academic year
Preferred Experience
- Event planning
- Student leadership roles
- Social media marketing

- Hospitality or promotional experience
- Campus club, society, or student government participation
