Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, ensuring the aesthetic appeal and health of gardens, lawns, and other landscaped areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor work. Prior experience in horticulture or landscape maintenance is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn new skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various tasks
- Use mechanical equipment such as excavators for site preparation and construction projects
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Perform gardening duties including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Conduct general construction activities related to landscape projects, such as building retaining walls or pathways
- Maintain cleanliness of work sites and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support with routine maintenance tasks to uphold the quality of landscaped environments
Experience
- Prior experience with landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or construction is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with excavation equipment such as excavators is a plus
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance practices is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to tools and equipment operation is beneficial
- Experience working with hand tools and power tools in outdoor settings is desirable
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials as needed
