Your days will include:
- Leading, supervising, and supporting maintenance staff in daily fleet operations and employee development
- Ensuring preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and DVIR deficiencies are completed efficiently and on time
- Monitoring fleet uptime, repairing turnaround times, and maintaining KPIs to improve operational performance
- Coordinating maintenance activities with Logistics, Operations, Dispatch, and other departments to minimize downtime
- Developing and implementing processes, workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, government regulations, and company maintenance policies
- Managing operational reporting, payroll, inventory, KPI tracking, vendor relationships, and cost-control initiatives
- Supporting fleet lifecycle management through warranty administration, CAPEX planning, refurbishment projects, and maintenance technology implementation
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with heavy equipment and tractor/trailer maintenance operations
- Strong leadership and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational demands simultaneously
- Experience working with maintenance software, telematics systems, and operational reporting tools preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead change and build structure within a growing operation
- Comfortable working in high-pressure environments while maintaining professionalism
- Ability to coordinate and influence teams across multiple locations
