Description:
Severn Lodge is seeking a reliable, professional, and detail-oriented Seasonal Night Auditor to join our team from May through October. The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front desk during overnight hours, assisting guests, balancing daily transactions, and preparing financial and operational reports for management. This position plays an important role in ensuring smooth overnight operations while providing excellent guest service.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist guests during overnight hours in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle late check-ins, early departures, and guest requests efficiently
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Complete the nightly audit process and balance daily room, restaurant, and resort transactions
- Reconcile payments, cash, credit card transactions, and guest accounts
- Prepare daily reports for management, including occupancy, revenue, and other operational summaries
- Ensure front desk and lobby areas remain clean, organized, and presentable
- Monitor resort premises during overnight hours and report any concerns to management
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and management regarding overnight issues or guest concerns
- Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of guest and financial records
- Follow all resort policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications:
- Previous front desk, hotel, resort, or customer service experience is preferred
- Previous cash handling or accounting experience is an asset
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn reservation and property management systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and remain calm in overnight situations
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Availability to work evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
