Reports To – Guest Services Manager
Position Summary
As a Concierge at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, you will provide exceptional customer service to our guests by offering tailored recommendations and assistance to enhance their stay. You will be the go-to person for all inquiries, from arranging transportation to securing reservations for exclusive events, ensuring every guest has a seamless and memorable experience. Assist hotel guest with their luggage as well as Check in and out. Additionally, you may be required to maintain and drive the hotel shuttle for hotel guests, providing them with safe and efficient transportation to and from Moncton Airport or any destinations as requested and/or approved of by Guest Service Manager.
Job Duties
· To provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external clients.
- Greet or acknowledge all guests employing the Ten and Five Rule.
- Greet and welcome guests, offering a warm and personal touch to all interactions.
- Provide information on local attractions, dining, entertainment, and other guest services.
- Check in/check out guests in a friendly and professional manner ensuring accuracy of all information/billing.
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out, and transportation.
- Act as a liaison between guests and hotel departments to fulfill specific requests (e.g., housekeeping, room service, maintenance).
- Ensure guests’ needs are met in a timely and professional manner, while exceeding their expectations.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback efficiently and with professionalism.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that guest preferences and needs are met seamlessly.
- To ensure the regular maintenance, and safe working order, of the Shuttle vehicle.
- Transport guests safely to and from the airport and nearby amenities as needed
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle.
- Clean and fuel vehicle as needed.
- Assist guests with loading/unloading luggage on/off the shuttle vehicle
- Fill out the log report for each pick up/drop off
- Report any mechanical concerns to the guest service manager.
- Perform all job duties in a safe manner by adhering to all driving regulations, road signs, and company safety policies and procedures
- Drive the hotel shuttle as needed to transport guests to and from the airports or other attractions as requested and approved by Guest services manager.
- Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of all guest information.
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.
- Ensure full completion of all duties relating to the shift and a concise hand over.
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospitality or customer service role, preferably within a hotel environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs and requests promptly.
- Knowledge of local area, landmarks, dining, and entertainment options.
- Proficient in MS Office and hotel management software (knowledge of Opera, is a plus).
- Valid driving license and new Driving abstract from New Brunswick; ability and willingness to drive the hotel shuttle.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
- Ability to transfer luggage from vehicle trunks to bell carts and to guest rooms, ranging up to 40lbs
