Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Dairy Farm Worker to join our team and contribute to the daily operations of our dairy farm. The ideal candidate will assist with animal care, farm maintenance, and operation of farm machinery. This role offers an opportunity to work in a hands-on environment, supporting the health and productivity of our dairy cattle while gaining valuable agricultural experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with milking cows and ensuring proper animal health and hygiene
- Feed and water livestock according to farm protocols
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of farm equipment and facilities
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, feed mixers, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns to farm management
- Assist with breeding, calving, and other reproductive procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and farm operations
- Support general farm tasks including fencing, pasture management, and manure handling
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for operating and troubleshooting farm machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Experience with farm machinery is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
This position is vital for maintaining the productivity and well-being of our dairy operation. Candidates should be prepared for physically demanding tasks and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Prior experience in farming or livestock management is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided to the right candidate.
Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
