Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and passionate Cook to join our childcare centre team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious meals for children and takes pride in maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.
- Contract position (with potential for extension)
- Monday to Friday

Duties
- Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks in accordance with childcare nutrition guidelines
- Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety practices
- Manage inventory, grocery ordering, and kitchen supplies
- Comply with all public health and licensing regulations
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience (experience in a childcare or institutional setting is an asset)
- Food Handler Certification (required)
- Knowledge of children’s nutrition and dietary needs
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
