Vector Electric and Controls is an industry-leading electrical, instrumentation, and automation contractor specializing in the construction and maintenance of utility infrastructure, including water & wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and distribution systems.
We are currently seeking 2nd and 3rd Year Apprentice Electricians to join our Calgary team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on industrial electrical experience while working alongside experienced journeypersons on some of Calgary's largest utility infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, productive, and professional work environment
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, journeypersons, and fellow apprentices
- Install conduit, cable tray, and electrical equipment
- Pull, terminate, and test power, control, and instrumentation wiring
- Assist with equipment installations, commissioning, and start-up activities
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Registered 2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Minimum 1 year of electrical construction experience
- CSTS Certification
- Fall Protection Certification
- Aerial Work Platform Certification
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial electrical experience
- Confined Space Certification
- Standard First Aid Certification
- Experience working at water or wastewater treatment facilities
