Overview
Our client, Alhidayah School is seeking a reliable and organized Administrative Coordinator to join our school team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of the school by managing administrative tasks, communicating with parents, supporting teachers, and assisting with student-related matters.
This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, approachable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy school environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Office Management
- Manage daily administrative tasks and support the smooth operation of the school office.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain school reports, records, spreadsheets, and documentation.
- Handle receipts, payments, invoices, and basic financial tracking.
- Maintain accurate files and ensure information is properly recorded and organized.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and general inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with school communications and internal coordination.
Parent & Community Communication
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for parents and visitors.
- Communicate with parents regarding general inquiries, school procedures, and administrative matters.
- Support positive relationships between the school, families, and the community.
Teacher & Classroom Support
- Provide administrative support to teachers, including:
- Printing and preparing classroom materials.
- Organizing resources and documents.
- Assisting teachers with daily classroom needs.
- Support classroom operations when needed, including occasional classroom coverage during teacher absences.
- Assist teachers and administration with maintaining a positive learning environment.
Student Support & School Operations
- Help address student behaviour concerns and support staff in managing classroom disruptions.
- Assist with student supervision and school activities when required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and administration to ensure students have a safe and supportive school experience.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in administration, office coordination, school environments, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills with parents, staff, and students.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.
- Professional, patient, and positive attitude.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is an asset.
Employment Details
Location: Alhidayah School – North York, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday (school hours)
Pay: $2,000.00-$2,450.00 per month
