Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Porter/houseman to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cleanliness and hospitality to contribute to a positive guest experience. Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work, especially within hotel or industrial settings, is preferred but not mandatory. The position emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Full-Time, 3pm - 11:30 pm weekend and weekdays.
Responsibilities
- Support other housekeeping staff during busy periods or special events to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Perform general cleaning duties across various areas of the property, including lobbies, hallways, guest rooms, and public spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, hallways, and common areas according to established standards
- Assist with trash removal and recycling efforts throughout the facility
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed and deliever to rooms.
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Experience
- Prior custodial or cleaning experience is preferred, especially within hotel or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures is beneficial
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and guest service expectations is an advantage
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
Pay: $17.00-$17.50 per hour
