Prep Food Company is a fast-growing food business in downtown Cobourg focused on helping people Save time, Eat better.
We offer healthy prepared meals, grab-and-go lunches, freezer meals, specialty coffee, butcher items, catering, and dinner service. Our retail team is the face of the business and plays a huge role in creating a welcoming, clean, organized, and helpful customer experience.
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Retail Team Member to join our front-of-house team.
The Role
As a Retail Team Member, you will help customers, ring through sales, make coffee, stock retail products, maintain displays, keep the space clean, and support the daily flow of the store. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys talking to people, working with great food, and being part of a busy team.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Ring through purchases using the POS system
- Make coffee, espresso drinks, and other cafe beverages
- Learn our prepared meals, freezer items, butcher products, and grab-and-go offerings so you can confidently help customers
- Restock retail shelves, fridges, freezers, and display cases
- Keep the cafe, retail area, coffee station, and customer spaces clean and organized
- Package and label products as needed
- Help customers choose meals, catering options, freezer items, and retail products
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation
- Communicate with the kitchen team when items are low or sold out
- Follow food safety, cleanliness, and company standards
- Support opening, closing, and daily cleaning tasks
- Work as part of a team during busy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend periods
