ECM Heating & Cooling is looking for an experienced Lead HVAC Install Technician to join our growing team. As a Lead Install Technician, you will oversee residential and light commercial HVAC installations while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise installation crews on residential and light commercial projects.
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, boilers, water heaters, and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret installation drawings and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform equipment start-up, commissioning, testing, and customer demonstrations.
- Ensure installations comply with TSSA regulations, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building and electrical codes.
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate job documentation and commissioning paperwork.
- Communicate with office staff regarding project progress, materials, and scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service on every job.
Qualifications
- G2 Gas Technician Licence (G1 considered an asset)
- ODP Certification
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC installation experience
- Experience installing heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, and ductless systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a crew
Assets:
- Sheet metal experience
- Hydronic or boiler experience
- Working at Heights certification
- First Aid/CPR certification

Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime as required
- Occasional on-call or weekend work during peak seasons
