Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter/Blaster to join our team. This role involves surface preparation and coating applications on various industrial components, ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and experience in manufacturing environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces of metal and other materials through blasting techniques to remove rust, scale, and old coatings.
- Apply protective coatings and paints using spray guns, brushes, or rollers to meet project specifications.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and other machinery necessary for handling heavy or bulky materials.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining tools to assist in surface preparation and finishing tasks.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of components as needed during the painting process.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations for coating thickness and material quantities using basic math skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow following lean manufacturing principles.
Requirements
- Prior experience with blasting, painting, or surface preparation in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic math calculations.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical specifications accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
