Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mécanicien(ne) / Technicien(ne) Automobile to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise in automotive repair and mechanical knowledge will contribute to providing exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs or replacements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and necessary repairs.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively to complete tasks.
- Assist in heavy lifting when necessary during the repair process or while handling parts.
- Collaborate with team members in a dealership environment to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive repair with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Familiarity with schematics and the ability to interpret technical documents.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment relevant to automotive repair.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their vehicle needs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs or maintenance tasks.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
