Sales & Business Development Representative
TOPLINE Distribution is a growing supplier of epoxy flooring, concrete coatings, installation tools, and contractor supplies. We serve flooring contractors, painters, general contractors, and commercial clients across Ontario.
We have built a strong foundation, a loyal customer base, and reliable operations. Now we are looking for the right sales and business development person to help us grow into the next stage.
This is not a passive retail sales role. We are looking for someone who can help bring in new clients, grow existing accounts, introduce new product lines, and build long-term relationships with contractors and businesses.
The Role
We are hiring a Sales & Business Development Representative to help grow revenue, win new accounts, and expand TOPLINE’s reach in the contractor and commercial market.
You will be responsible for prospecting, following up with leads, visiting customers, educating clients on products, and helping develop new sales opportunities.
The right person will be ambitious, organized, confident, and comfortable dealing with contractors, tradespeople, and business owners.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prospecting and contacting new customers, including contractors, painters, flooring companies, general contractors, and commercial buyers
- Following up with leads from phone calls, walk-ins, online inquiries, training classes, and past customers
- Building strong relationships with repeat buyers and helping increase their monthly purchasing
- Visiting customers, job sites, shops, and contractor offices when needed
- Promoting epoxy, coatings, tools, equipment, and new product lines
- Helping launch and grow new categories of business within the company
- Preparing quotes, estimates, and product recommendations
- Updating the CRM with calls, notes, follow-ups, and opportunities
- Working with the operations team to make sure customers are served properly
- Helping create sales promotions, account strategies, and customer outreach campaigns
- Representing TOPLINE professionally and helping strengthen our reputation in the market

- Confident speaking with contractors, tradespeople, and business owners
- Organized and consistent with follow-up
- Able to learn technical products and explain them clearly
- Reliable, professional, and accountable
- Competitive, but still team-oriented
- Not afraid to visit customers or build relationships face-to-face
- Interested in growing with the company long term
Experience
Preferred experience:
- Sales or business development experience
- Experience selling to contractors, trades, construction companies, distributors, or B2B customers
- Knowledge of epoxy flooring, coatings, concrete, painting, tools, building materials, or construction supplies is a strong asset
- CRM experience is an asset
- Driver’s license is preferred
We are open to training the right person if they have the right attitude, work ethic, and sales ability.
Compensation
Compensation will include a base salary plus commission or performance-based bonus.
