Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dealership or automotive repair environment and possess strong mechanical knowledge. This role involves performing tire installations, repairs, and maintenance while providing excellent customer service. The Tire Technician plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our customers. Applicants should be comfortable with heavy lifting, using hand and power tools, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Remove and replace tires using appropriate hand tools and power equipment
- Inspect tires for damage, wear, and proper tread depth; recommend repairs or replacements as needed
- Perform wheel alignments and balancing to ensure optimal vehicle handling
- Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks related to tires and wheels
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining tire-related services and addressing customer questions
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all procedures
Skills
- Dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to tires, wheels, and vehicle maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tire irons
- Experience with power tools used in tire installation and repair processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and maintenance practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic sales skills are a plus for recommending additional services or products to customers
Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
