Caregivers will be caring for and providing support for children ages 0-11, who have a need for temporary placement in a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment. As a caregiver, you’ll play a vital role in the development and supervision of these extraordinary individuals. From implementing creative activities to nurturing a positive environment, your presence will make a world of difference in the lives of these incredible children.
As a caregiver, you’ll wear many hats- from cooking nutritious meals to ensuring a clean and safe environment, your dedication and attention will shine through in every task you undertake. And when it comes to interacting with the children, your warmth and empathy will create bonds that last a lifetime.
Our ideal candidate:
- Has previous experience working with children under the age of 11
- Passionate about working with children
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment
- Enjoys creating, organizing and facilitating activities
- Able to maintain a healthy and safe environment
- Has the ability to form genuine relationships, with strong interpersonal skills
- Possesses an outgoing personality, with interests that can be used to engage the children in care
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Participate in the development and implementation of activity plans.
- Able to complete reports and documentation clearly, accurately and within a timely manner.
- Able to display positive role modelling
- Assist with deescalating behaviours
Requirements to join our team:
- CPR & First Aid certification,
- A clean Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search,
- Food Safe certification
- Medication Administration
- WHMIS certification
- Driver’s License (Saskatchewan, Novice 2 minimum)
We offer a range of shifts, including:
- Days (7 am - 3 pm)
- Evenings (3 pm-11 pm)
- Nights (11 pm- 7 am)
- Weekends required
* Valid Canadian Class 5 novice 2 or Higher Driver's License is REQUIRED and proof will be required.
* 18 Years of age or older
**Please note, you must be legally able to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.**
