Position Overview
We’re looking for a versatile and experienced Restoration Carpenter who can handle a wide range of interior reconstruction tasks. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident working independently, takes pride in their workmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
You’ll be working in homes and buildings damaged by fire, water, or mold — completing everything from structural repairs to fine finish work. If you're the type who can frame a wall in the morning, patch drywall after lunch, and install cabinets by the end of the day, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform framing, subfloor work, and minor structural repairs
- Install and finish drywall (taping, mudding, sanding)
- Complete interior painting and surface prep
- Handle finish carpentry – trim, baseboards, doors, casing, etc.
- Install cabinetry, vanities, and hardware
- Lay flooring – including laminate, vinyl plank, and tile
- Work efficiently and neatly in both occupied and vacant spaces
- Support project managers with site coordination and updates
- Maintain a safe and organized job site in compliance with OHS regulations
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on carpentry or residential renovation experience
- Proven ability to do framing, drywall (including mudding), painting, trim work, cabinetry, and flooring
- Comfortable working on your own or as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and time management
- Valid G-class driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)
- Able to wear PPE as needed (half-face respirator, Tyvek suit, steel-toes, etc.)
- Restoration experience and IICRC certifications are assets
- Willingness to be part of our 24/7 rotational on-call team for emergency work
