Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Renovation Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential and commercial renovation projects, demonstrating proficiency in various carpentry and construction techniques. This role involves transforming spaces through precise craftsmanship, including framing, finishing, and restoration work, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications and safety standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute renovation plans.
- Perform concrete forming, masonry, rebar installation, and flooring installation as required for various projects.
- Install cabinets, siding, roofing, tile, and other building materials with precision.
- Conduct restoration work including drywall repair, painting, caulking, and finishing touches to improve or restore existing structures.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete carpentry tasks.
- Assist with plumbing and electrical installations when necessary, collaborating with specialists to ensure proper integration.
- Measure spaces accurately for custom fabrication and installation of cabinetry or other fixtures.
- Estimate project materials and labor needs using construction estimating techniques.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and heavy lifting operations to ensure project efficiency.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, woodworking, masonry, roofing, siding, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete forming.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and heavy lifting techniques.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project planning.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, caulking, construction painting, siding installation, plumbing basics, electrical experience, and general handyman skills is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics for electrical or plumbing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse renovation projects requiring technical expertise across multiple trades within a collaborative team environment.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
