POSITION SUMMARY
The Content Creator – Immigration Video Specialist will be responsible for producing educational short-form videos similar in style to leading immigration-law content creators on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and LinkedIn.
The successful candidate will work closely with Canadim’s legal and marketing teams to transform complex immigration information into engaging, easy-to-understand video content.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research Canadian immigration news, policy changes, and trending topics
- Develop video concepts and content calendars.
- Write scripts for short-form videos.
- Record professional talking-head videos.
- Edit and caption videos for social media distribution.
- Create educational content explaining immigration programs, work permits, permanent residence pathways, sponsorship programs, study permits, citizenship, and policy changes
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips.
- Maintain consistency with Canadim’s brand voice and professional standards
- Collaborate with legal professionals to ensure content accuracy
- Track content performance and recommend improvements.
CONTENT EXPECTATIONS
The Content Creator will be expected to produce content similar to leading immigration-focused educational accounts, including:
- Immigration news updates Frequently asked questions Myth versus reality videos Eligibility explanations Immigration success stories Policy change breakdowns Employer-focused immigration content Permanent residence pathway explanations Study permit and work permit guidance Commentary on immigration developments
MONTHLY DELIVERABLES
Minimum expectations include:
- 30 short-form videos per month
- 4 long-form educational videos per month
- Monthly content calendar
- Performance report and recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience creating short-form social media content
- Strong on-camera communication skills
- Video editing proficiency
- Understanding of social media trends
- Excellent English communication skills
- French language skills considered an asset
- Interest in immigration, law, public policy, or education
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
