Position Summary - The Outgoing Grain Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the timely and accurate shipment of grain. This role ensures compliance with certification standards, maintains traceability, and coordinates with internal teams, carriers, and customers to meet delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills to detail, and an understanding of grain handling and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments of grain.
- Ensure grain shipments comply with certification standards, including proper documentation, traceability, and segregation from conventional grain.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation such as invoices, bills of lading, export papers, and organic certificates.
- Monitor and maintain clean product bin inventory for both conventional and organic grains.
- Maintain detailed, audit-ready records for compliance and traceability.
- Communicate with customers, carriers, internal teams, and certification bodies regarding shipments and documentation.
- Support other operational areas and perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, grain handling, agriculture, or office administration.
- Knowledge of organic certification standards and grain handling procedures preferred. (Willing to train the right person).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook/email).
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
