Position Summary
TWI Foods Inc. is seeking a results-driven Manufacturing Assistant Manager to support daily production operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing production activities, ensuring food safety and quality compliance, optimizing productivity, and leading production teams to achieve operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Manufacturing Manager in planning and executing daily production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality and food safety standards.
- Supervise Production Supervisors, Team Leads, and production employees during daily operations.
- Monitor production efficiency, labour utilization, downtime, waste, and overall line performance.
- Coordinate manpower allocation based on production requirements and changing priorities.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA, and company food safety policies.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance department to minimize equipment downtime and improve machine performance.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.
- Ensure sanitation and housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the facility.
- Assist in employee recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.
- Conduct daily production meetings and communicate operational priorities to supervisors.
- Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Investigate production deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support inventory accuracy by ensuring proper material usage and minimizing waste.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of bakery or food manufacturing processes is preferred.
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA regulations, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
- Experience with ERP or production management systems is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
