Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Optical Sales Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their optical needs, providing exceptional service, and supporting the sales process within our optical retail environment. Duties
- Assist customers in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories based on their preferences and prescriptions.
- Provide information about different lens types, coatings, and optical products, utilizing knowledge of medical terminology when necessary.
- Support the sales process by processing transactions
- Collaborate with optometrists and other assistants to ensure timely processing of prescriptions and repairs.
- Working up patients, adjusting spectacles edging and mounting eyeglasses along with other diagnostic testing.
- Keep detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities for reporting purposes.
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, especially within optical or healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to vision care is advantageous.
- Laboratory experience or familiarity with optical equipment is a plus.
- Experience with optical products, including lenses and frames, enhances customer assistance capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and assist customers.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Pay: $21.25-$25.75 per hour
