Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for guests. This position offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and grow within the food industry.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Matr'd POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and food safety protocols
- Ensure sanitation and cleanliness standards are upheld in dining areas and service stations
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen duties if needed, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to ensure satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Matr'D POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety standards in the food industry
- Basic math skills for handling bills, payments, and cash transactions
- Experience with serving, upselling, and cashiering enhances performance but is not mandatory
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
