Job Description
Jon Witzel Contracting is looking for a full-time Project Design Coordinator for our Residential and Commercial sectors. In this position, you will assist with the design from conception to completion for the specified project, working both independently and collaboratively with our team.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand project goals and style preferences
- Develop interior design concepts, space plans and material selections
- Produce accurate 2D & 3D drawings and renderings
- Create accurate material take-offs and cost estimates
- Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Prepare client proposals, quotations and project specifics
- Coordinate with project managers, trades and installers throughout the project
- Review drawings and specifications for accuracy before production
- Track project budgets, change orders and material selections
- Maintain organized project files, schedules and documentation
- Create presentations, drawings and design documentations
Skills & Assets
- Diploma or Certification from Interior Decorating program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Bluebeam
- Experience preparing accurate estimates and reading construction drawings
- Ability to complete 3D renderings is an asset
- Creative, self-motivated, and highly organized
- Self starter, with a strong worth ethic
- Eager to learn and accept new challenges, contributing to achieve company goals
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong ability to work both independently, and collaboratively as a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong written skills
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once, while meeting deadlines
