Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi trucks and trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical expertise, experience with heavy machinery, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duti
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on semi trucks and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems within vehicles and equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs
- Operate heavy equipment for testing or repair purposes when necessary
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of mechanical components for repair or replacement
- Perform heavy lifting as required for parts replacement or equipment handling
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and other departments regarding repair status and issues
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles or equipment
- Dealership experience is highly
- Experience working with schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of automotive repair techniques and maintenance procedures
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and industrial machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Prior experience in fleet maintenance or industrial maintenance roles is advantageous
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
