Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, possess strong customer service skills, and be adept at managing multiple tasks efficiently. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food and beverage service, particularly with POS systems like Micros POS, is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of our establishment by delivering exceptional service and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to recipes and customer preferences
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience
- Manage cash transactions using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages
- Assist in food service when required, including serving snacks or small plates to guests
- Uphold all food safety regulations and ensure proper handling of food and beverages at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple guests efficiently
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately
- Experience in hospitality environments demonstrating excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting while maintaining a positive attitude
