Key Responsibilities
-
Perform preventative maintenance according to schedule, including seasonal work
-
Transport materials and supplies
-
Perform snow removal
-
Complete mechanical maintenance on all equipment and fleet vehicles
-
Deliver and/or replace appliances and furniture in teacherages
-
Operate and maintain all division vehicles and equipment
-
Conduct facilities shop and yard maintenance
-
Perform welding and fabricating as required
-
Maintain a clean and tidy workshop
-
Complete building maintenance tasks as required
-
Submit required paperwork accurately and on time
-
Use Assetplanner to manage service requests
-
Assist co-workers and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
Automotive or Heavy-Duty Service Technician certificate
-
Valid driver's license with heavy trailer endorsement
-
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Journeyperson trade

Minimum 2 years' experience operating a skid steer
-
CPR & First Aid Certificate (an asset)
-
valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Working Conditions
-
8 hours per day
-
Heavy physical work (100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly)

Extensive travel, including northern roads under adverse conditions

Overnight stays in various communities as required
