We are seeking a reliable, energetic, and team-oriented Cafe & Kitchen Associate to support our front-of-house and kitchen teams. This role serves as a support position, assisting wherever needed throughout the café. Depending on business demands, you may support guest service, beverage preparation, food preparation, cleaning, dishwashing, inventory organization, or general operational tasks.
ResponsibilitiesTeam Support
- Provide support to either the front-of-house or kitchen team based on operational needs.
- Assist team members in maintaining efficient daily operations.
- Adapt to changing priorities and support areas that require additional assistance.
Front-of-House Support
- Welcome guests and provide friendly customer service.
- Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.
Kitchen Support
- Assist with food, beverage, and smoothie preparation.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Help receive, organize, and store deliveries.
- Support inventory organization and communicate low-stock items to management.
Cleaning & Operational Support
- Wash dishes and ensure proper storage of equipment and utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the café, kitchen, seating areas, and play space.
- Follow daily cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with waste management and general upkeep of the facility.
Play Area Support
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized play environment.
- Assist with sanitizing play equipment and common areas.
- Support the enforcement of café policies and play area guidelines.
Qualifications
✅ Previous experience in a café, restaurant, food service, or hospitality environment is an asset.
✅ Strong customer service and communication skills.
✅ Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
✅ Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail.
✅ Comfortable working around children and families.
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✅ Familiarity with Square POS is an asset.
✅ Reliable transportation is an asset.
