Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Skilled Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction trades, including carpentry, masonry, and more. This role involves performing a wide range of hands-on tasks to support construction projects, restoration efforts, and installation jobs. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying to ensure durable and precise results
- Install cabinetry, flooring, drywall, and other building components with attention to detail
- Perform caulking, painting, masonry work, welding, and other trades as needed
- Support demolition, restoration projects, or site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment
- Estimate materials and labor requirements for various tasks based on project plans
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation (preferred)
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, tile laying, flooring installation
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus
- Experience with restoration projects or cabinet installation is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical instructions
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads (up to 50 pounds), working at heights or in confined spaces
- Valid <PERSON> certification or relevant licenses are preferred but not mandatory depending on the project requirements
