Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled EHR Business Analyst/Project Management Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. This role involves analyzing, designing, and optimizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to improve clinical workflows and data management. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, system design expertise, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and acute care environments. Duties
- Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to gather requirements for EHR system enhancements and implementations.
- Conduct data mining and analysis using SQL and database tools to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for system improvement.
- Develop detailed documentation of system workflows, data collection processes, and system design specifications.
- Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of new features within Epic or similar EHR platforms.
- Manage data integrity by overseeing data management practices, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and end-users to ensure project objectives are met effectively.
- Support training initiatives by translating complex technical information into understandable formats for clinical staff.
- Monitor system performance post-implementation to identify areas for ongoing optimization.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) working with Epic EHR systems or similar healthcare IT platforms.
- Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, and data mining techniques for extracting and analyzing large datasets.
- Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, acute care workflows, and healthcare regulations.
- Experience in data collection, management, and system design within a healthcare setting.
- Solid understanding of IT principles related to health informatics and system integration.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions effectively.
- Prior experience in project management or business analysis within a healthcare environment is preferred. This role is integral in advancing healthcare technology initiatives by ensuring robust data management and efficient system design aligned with clinical needs.
