Our client is a well-established Canadian organization recognized for designing and delivering high-performance products across marine and outdoor environments. They are currently looking to hire an Accounts Receivable Clerk on a 1-month temporary assignment to provide immediate support to their Finance team. This role will focus on assisting with day-to-day AR operations, invoicing, reconciliations, and collections support during a busy period.
Pay Rate: $22 to $26 an hour
- Prepare, calculate, and issue invoices, account statements, bills, inventory reports, and related financial documents using Microsoft Office and ERP systems (NetSuite).
- Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing, including reconciliations as required.
- Review and validate employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate with internal departments (sales, customer service, and others) to obtain necessary documentation and approvals and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to customer and vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Assist in collection efforts to ensure timely recovery of outstanding balances and reduce delinquency.
- Support month-end and ad hoc finance tasks as required.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience in an accounting, accounts receivable, or finance support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with accounts payable and general accounting principles.
- Experience using NetSuite or similar ERP systems is an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy in data entry and financial processing.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic, adaptability, and willingness to learn quickly.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
