Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical systems to ensure precision and safety in all welding operations. The Welder will contribute to the production of high-quality products across construction, ductwork, and manufacturing projects, supporting the company's commitment to excellence and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine specifications and welding procedures
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other equipment to shape and assemble metal parts
- Conduct rigging operations when necessary for lifting and positioning heavy components using cranes or forklifts
- Operate machining tools such as calipers for precise measurements and quality control
- Assist with assembly, fabrication, and installation of ductwork, structural components, or other metal structures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting equipment regularly
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects requiring mechanical knowledge and technical expertise
Skills
- Welder applicants will be required to have had at least 1 year aluminum specific welding and pass an aluminum welding test (basic skills)
- Read and interpret shop drawings
- Operate manual and semi-automatic equipment & various hand tools
- Operate MIG aluminum welders; .035” wire. 1lb and 20 lb. spools
- Detailed oriented and ability to read and understand Fabrication drawing (CAD)
- Keep a clean and safe workstation
- Custom Aluminum cutting or railing experience as asset
- Must be permitted to work and live in lower mainland
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
