Job Description
Qualifications and Experience;
- Minimum 1-2 years security technician apprentice experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Trouble-shooting skills.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience with installation and maintenance of the following would be an asset:
- Access Control Systems (Lenel, AMAG, Genetec, Kantech)
- Intrusion systems; (DSC, Alarm.com, Bosch)
- CCTV systems (Avigilon, Genetec, Salient).
- Education: High School diploma required.
- Technologist Certificate or Computer Networking Courses preferred.
- Manufacturer certifications (Kantech, DSC, Lenel, Pelco, Avigilon, AMAG, …)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Government Secret Clearance a must. Ideally already cleared.
- Language: English/French.
Responsibilities;
- Basic knowledge of all components of security systems. Ex: access control, analog & IP video surveillance, intercoms, networking, remote connections, etc.
- Basic experience; Running cable, installing & servicing field devices, programming.
- Communicate well with coworkers.
- Able to read and understand manuals for installations and/or troubleshooting.
- Assist other team members.
- Keep records updated.
- Punctual.
- Eager to learn, improve and assist.
