Position Summary
In this leadership role, the Food & Beverage Outlets/Banquet Supervisor will support the day-to-day operations of the Food & Beverage outlets and banquet department, ensuring exceptional service delivery, successful event execution, and outstanding guest experiences. The successful candidate will lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing team while maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of both the Food & Beverage Outlets and Banquet Department, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
- Coordinate and supervise banquet and meeting room set-ups in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), ensuring all event requirements are met.
- Ensure all Food & Beverage outlets, banquet functions, equipment, signage, audio-visual requirements, and service stations are properly prepared and maintained.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
- Meet and interact with guests, promptly addressing requests, concerns, and complaints to achieve high guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with the Kitchen, Catering, Sales, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless execution of events and outlet operations.
- Assist with the recruitment, scheduling, training, coaching, development, and supervision of unionized and non-unionized team members.
- Lead pre-shift meetings and foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and service excellence.
- Ensure team members adhere to attendance, grooming, uniform, and performance standards.
- Support labour management, inventory control, cost containment, and productivity goals while maintaining service standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of outlets, banquet facilities, and equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns as required.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, collective agreement provisions, Smart Serve regulations, food safety standards, and health and safety legislation.
- Assist with menu promotions, marketing initiatives, revenue-generating activities, and continuous improvement programs.
- Complete administrative duties, including reports, inventories, guest feedback logs, cashier procedures, and operational documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of Food & Beverage leadership experience, preferably in a unionized hotel environment.
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and guest service skills.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage service, wine, spirits, and POS systems.
- Valid Smart Serve Certification.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Pay: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
