Bike Mechanic – Comor Kitsilano
Full-Time (Seasonal) | Start Date: ASAP
Location: 1787 West 4th Ave, Vancouver, BC
Comor – Go Play Outside is on the lookout for an experienced and enthusiastic Bike Mechanic to join our Kitsilano crew. If you’re passionate about road, gravel, commuter, and mountain bikes—and know your way around e-bike systems—this is a solid opportunity to be part of Western Canada's best and largest selection of bikes, skis, and boards.
What We’re Looking For:
You’re not just great with tools—you’re organized, proactive, and able to keep things rolling smoothly in a busy, high-volume service area. You'll be handling everything from full builds and custom setups to tune-ups and warranty work. Knowledge of e-bike servicing is a must, and you'll also be expected to educate both customers and staff on tech, service procedures, and proper bike care.
The Role Includes:
- Building, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of bikes (MTB, road, commuter, and e-bikes)
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing quality control
- Supporting front-end staff with technical knowledge
- Helping customers better understand their bikes and how to maintain them
- Assisting with sales when needed—especially when deep bike knowledge is required
- Working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
You Should Have:
- 2+ years of bike mechanic experience (bonus if it’s in a retail/service setting)
- Confidence diagnosing mechanical issues on high-end suspension, drivetrain, and e-bike systems
- A great attitude and strong communication skills
- The ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
- Passion for bikes and the outdoor lifestyle we live every day
Perks of Working at Comor:
- Industry-leading employee discounts (Comor + Pacific Boarder brands)
- Competitive wages + supplier sales incentives
- A rad crew and a genuinely fun place to work
- Opportunity to grow in a company that’s been a staple in the industry for decades
Year-Round Opportunity:
As Comor operates seasonally with a focus on bikes during spring and summer, this position is full-time throughout the bike season. However, for those seeking year-round employment, there is potential to transition into a Ski Technician role during the winter months. This role primarily involves mounting ski bindings, general support in our winter service department, and supporting the hardgoods sales team.
A strong skiing background is required for this transition.
TO APPLY:
Bring your resume in person to our Kitsilano store and ask for Athos or Andrew. We’re looking for the right fit, not just a body behind the bench—if that’s you, let’s talk.
