Duties
- Greet patients and clients warmly, providing excellent customer service at the front desk
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages promptly
- Verify patient insurance information and process claims using electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix
- Maintain accurate medical and dental records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
- Assist with check-in/check-out procedures, including collecting co-pays and updating patient information
- Coordinate appointment scheduling efficiently to optimize provider availability and reduce wait times
- Support office operations by managing correspondence, filing, and inventory of supplies
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication
Experience
- Previous experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical notes and documentation
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix is essential
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in medical office administration demonstrates readiness for this role
- Familiarity with office equipment including multi-line phone systems, scanners, and printers
- Demonstrated ability to handle front desk duties efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Prior administrative experience in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
Pay: $42,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
