General Machinist – Mississauga, ON
We are seeking a skilled General Machinist with experience in both manual and CNC machining to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge and can produce high-quality precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathe, mill, drill)
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Machine parts to tight tolerances
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, and secondary operations
- Meet production schedules and deadlines
Requirements
- Proven machining experience (manual and/or CNC)
- Strong understanding of machining processes and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
- Basic math skills (feeds, speeds, tolerances)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Fabrication and forklift experience are assets
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $25–$30 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Day shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Overtime available as needed
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
