Yard Hand / Equipment Operator

Job Type: Seasonal Full-Time / Seasonal Part-Time
Season: March to October
Sandstone Landscaping Supplies is looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand / Equipment Operator to join our team in Penticton, BC.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable around equipment, and takes pride in providing good customer service. The role involves loading customer vehicles and trailers, operating equipment, assisting customers in the yard, and helping with day-to-day yard operations.
Duties include:
- Loading trucks and trailers of all sizes using a Bobcat/skid steer
- Loading aggregate, soil, mulch, blocks, and other landscape materials
- Assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Operating forklift when needed
- Helping fill gaps in daily operations
- Keeping the yard clean, organized, and safe
- Lifting and handling heavy materials, including blocks up to 90 lbs
- Working safely around trucks, trailers, equipment, customers, and staff
Requirements:
- Bobcat/skid steer experience is preferred
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Class 3 license with Air Brake endorsement is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs when required
- Good customer service skills
- Mature, responsible, and dependable
- Willingness to learn and help where needed
- Comfortable working outdoors in different weather conditions
- Experience with aggregates or landscaping supplies is an asset
We are hiring for both full-time seasonal and part-time seasonal positions. Part-time applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays.
