Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced and safety-focused Heavy Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will operate heavy-duty tow trucks, rotators, and recovery equipment to provide towing, recovery, transport, and roadside assistance for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and recovery vehicles.
- Respond to emergency roadside assistance and accident recovery calls.
- Recover disabled, overturned, or damaged commercial vehicles.
- Tow tractors, trailers, buses, construction equipment, and other heavy vehicles.
- Perform winching, uprighting, and complex recovery operations.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and recovery documentation.
- Properly secure vehicles and equipment for transport.
- Follow all Ministry of Transportation (MTO), CVOR, and company safety regulations.
- Maintain company equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, police, fire departments, and emergency responders.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Valid Ontario Class AZ Driver's Licence (Required)
- Valid Tow Truck Driver Certificate issued under Ontario regulations (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of heavy-duty towing and recovery experience
- Clean driver's abstract
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
- Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle recovery and load securement
- Ability to safely work on highways and emergency scenes
Preferred Certifications
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- WHMIS
- Standard First Aid & CPR
- Traffic Control / Temporary Traffic Protection Training
- Recovery or Rotator Operation Training (Asset)
Skills & Abilities
- Heavy recovery and winching experience
- Knowledge of commercial truck systems

Pay: $40,412.24-$98,497.98 per year
