Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Installer specializing in Cabinet installation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for remedial work finishing installations, installing back orders, and installing various missing parts. Responsibilities
- Install cabinetry to the company’s standard installer level.
- Complete remedial tasks, including, Installing back-ordered items, Installing parts from request and, finishing incomplete installation work
- Perform cabinet adjustments, scribing, and fitting.
- Install and adjust kicks, handles, fillers, and gables.
- Safely remove and reinstall cabinetry components as required.
- Build jigs for unique installation conditions.
- Perform basic cosmetic touch-ups.
- Creatively resolve functional or cosmetic issues.
- Record installed units following company procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinet installation or related carpentry roles within the construction or restoration industry.
- Proven track record multi-unit installation or service
- Multi-unit cabinetry and millwork installation experience preferred
- Working with hand tools
- Working with full suite of MS Office and SmartSheets
- Proven ability to track work in a meticulous fashion
- Valid BC Driver’s license if required to drive for business or use company vehicle.
- Excellent in communication, teamwork, problem‑solving
- Ability to read and write fluently in English
Tools & Technical Skills
- Proficient with:
- Impact drill, ½” drill, table saw, mitre saw, jigsaw, circular saw, multi-tool, planer, and router/trimmer.
Requirements
- BC Driver’s License if required for position
- WHMIS
- Anti‑Violence / Respectful Workplace
- Valid Work Permit (if applicable)
- English language skills appropriate to the role
- Adherence to WorkSafeBC requirements, including recover‑at‑work practices
- Adherence to internal manuals and standard operating procedures
- Steel-toed footwear
Working Conditions
Each job site has varied conditions. Finishing trades work in units with doors and windows (insulated) but may not be complete to finish level including electrical, floors, fixtures and fittings and paint. The work is mostly conducted during site hours, which may vary within each job location. Occasional weekend work and travel may be required.
Fixed-term Contract: 4 months, possibility of contract being extended
Pay: $29 - $33 per hour depending on experience and skill set
