Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn and grow within the food industry. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff as required
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns promptly and professionally
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently using good time management skills
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in hospitality or the food industry will be advantageous but is not required; enthusiasm for serving guests is essential
