Our Foster Care Program is looking for Foster Parents currently residing in Central Alberta
Foster Care provides safe, caring homes to children and youth ages 0 to 18 who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to live with their own families. Committed and highly skilled staff and foster parents ensure that individual social, educational, emotional and physical needs of the children are met until they are able to return home, are adopted or another permanent solution is arranged for their care.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Space in your home to accommodate additional child(ren)
Standard First Aid Level C
Suicide Intervention Training
Clear Intervention Record Check & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector
Willingness to work as part of a team
Class 5 driver’s license, clean drivers abstract, reliable personal vehicle
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture considered an asset
Willingness to complete required training and home study process
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Have a clear understanding of the goals, outcomes, and contractual obligations related to Foster Care. Complete timely documentation expectations based on contractual requirements
